ANNOUNCEMENTS: Monday, November 25,2024: WEEK #1; CYCLE DAY A

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. 

We would also like to acknowledge people of African ancestry, whose histories and legacies have contributed to Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Elevator Keys

Please ensure that all elevator keys are returned by the end of the day.

Lost and Found

If you have lost items, in the school, please check out the lost and found rack across from the office.

Chess Club is Starting

All are welcome! Learn how to play chess or compete against the best!....Mr. Nagle lol but really it's Jayden grade 8.  Chess club is every Tuesday at lunch in Mr. Nagle’s room (room 111). Be there or be a pawn! 

Boys Basketball

The next boys basketball tryouts will be Thursday November 28th from 4-6pm. The call back list will be posted on Monday.

School Dance

There will be a school dance on November 28th from 6:30-8:30pm.  Tickets can be purchased via School Cash.

Backpacks

Backpacks are to be left in your lockers.  Any backpacks found on the floor of the school will be taken to the office and can be picked up after school.

Boys’ Volleyball

Astral boys volleyball fell short to Ellenvale but had a great game last week. Players of the game were Breton MacPhee and Alex Shepard.  The game scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled.

Girls Volleyball

A huge Congrats goes out to the members of the girls volleyball team as they won the Dartmouth High Volleyball tournament over the weekend.  All the girls played great in their warm up for the semi-finals.  Next game will be after school today against Graham Creighton here at Astral.  We hope to see and hear your support after school! 

Best Buddies

Best buddies will meet Thursday at lunch in the learning centre. 

ADJH FOOD DRIVE

Thank you to students and staff who contributed to our food drive this year. We are thrilled to announce that we beat our goal and collected over 1000 items. The homeroom class who brought in the most was class 903 with 113 items. Congratulations to 903!
