ANNOUNCEMENTS: Wednesday May 28, 2025: WEEK #1; CYCLE DAY C

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. 

We would also like to acknowledge people of African ancestry, whose histories and legacies have contributed to Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Asian Heritage Month: Did you know that several Asian American and Pacific Islander women served in World War II? Many women were trained as translators and interpreters. Other women put their lives on the line through the underground resistance in the Philippines. 

Grade 8 Reading,Writing and Mathematics Provincial Assessments: First day of the Math Assessments will take place today. Good luck to all the students writing the assessment. Teachers covering please make sure you have reviewed the schedule. Students please be respectful walking through the hallways during the morning instructions. 

Summer Volunteer Opportunity: If you're interested in volunteering this summer at Ocean View Manor, a local continuing care centre, and want to make a difference in the community, please see Ms. Lannon for more information. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and give back to those in need

Tunnel Vision Leadership is Back! Students that are involved in this group will be meeting today at 11:35am, this is a mandatory meeting so all need to attend. We will meet in Mr. Karl’s room 126. Bring Your Lunch.

Lost and Found Please check the lost and found rack across from the office for your belongings.  Items will be removed at the end of the day Friday.

Girl’s Softball tryouts will be held Thursday from 2:45-4:15pm.  This will be the final tryouts.

Schools Plus Program You're invited to register for the Entrepreneur Summer Program with SchoolsPlus!   Young Entrepreneurs is a SchoolsPlus Program designed to teach students how to create their own business and show it off in a business fair at the end of each week. Students will learn how to brainstorm ideas, budget for a business, work collaboratively, shop for their supplies, learn customer service skills, create a logo, and design a poster. If this is something that you are interested in, please go see David McCrae in the School Counsellor office area tomorrow. 

Grade 9 Boast Cruise will be June 12, 2025.  Tickets are $45.00 each and are available on School Cash.
