Saturday June 21st - National Indigenous Peoples Day (formerly National Aboriginal Day) is celebrated on June 21st, the summer solstice, because it holds significant cultural and spiritual importance for many Indigenous peoples. The summer solstice, being the longest day of the year, is a time of renewal, connection, and celebration in many Indigenous cultures. You may celebrate this day by wearing red or orange in recognition.
Allergy Reminder: There are students and staff at our school that have a life-threatening allergy to peanuts. Please ensure that any food brought into the school is peanut-free.
Grade 9 reminders:
Good luck to student writing exams today. On each exam day, students will go to their homeroom for Study Hall during first period. Exams will be written from 9:35 to 11:35. Study Hall will also be available in the afternoons.
Grade 9 closing ceremony will be June 26th at 10am.
Students must be here by 9:30 AM to get lined-up in alphabetical order (by homeroom). A reminder that Fire Marshall regulations will allow for 2 guests per student.
