ANNOUNCEMENTS: Tuesday April 15, 2025: WEEK #1; CYCLE DAY B

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. 

We would also like to acknowledge people of African ancestry, whose histories and legacies have contributed to Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Yearbook- Yearbooks are now available to purchase through School Cash.  The price is $40.

Spirit Week Our spirit week continues all week, and we encourage students and staff to show off their school spirit in style:

Wednesday, April 16th – Spring Attire Day
Celebrate the season of sunshine and flowers! Wear bright colors, floral patterns, fun accessories—anything that screams SPRING!

Thursday, April 17th – Pajama Day
Roll out of bed and come to school in your coziest PJs! 

Football: Just a reminder to all football students taking part in the team activity on April 22nd. You need to bring your Athletic policy to the office before you can attend. Get those in ASAP!! 

Drama Club: Congratulations to the Astralnauts Improv Team who had an incredible performance last night at the Junior Regional Improv Tournament! All drama club meetings this week are cancelled. Next week, the drama club will be hosting auditions for their spring play. Auditions will take place next Tuesday and Thursday after school. If you are interested in auditioning, please come prepared with a monologue. 

Track and Field: There will be a meeting for all athletes looking to try out for the long distance events (400m, 800m, 1500m and 3000m) today, Tuesday (April 15th) at lunch in the gymnasium. Practices for long distance events will begin on Wednesday after school.

Congratulations to the Astral girls cheer team on winning 1st place at provincials!  

Cole Harbour Library: Join us tonight for Teen Night at Cole Harbour Public Library from 6-7:30 for Needle Felting. It is open to all junior high and high school students, it is totally free, and there are snacks.
