Asian Heritage Month: Borneo in South-East Asia is the third largest island in the world and the largest in Asia. Borneo is known for its rainforests. Many animals only live on this island such as the Bornean Orangutan.
Thursday is Black Excellence Day: All staff and students are invited to wear black to help celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black people, both historically and currently.
Important Reminder: Astral Drive is a SCENT FREE School. Students are not permitted to wear scents, bring scents to school or spray scents and school.
Astral floor hockey League:Astral drive is starting a new floor hockey league. All welcome even with lots or no hockey experience. Games will be played after school starting soon. Sign up outside the gym. Sign up sheet will be up for 1 week.
Attention Astral Drive Junior High Looking for Volunteer Hours! Astral Drive Elementary is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out at their Annual Spring Fair on Saturday, June 7th. This is a fun way to earn volunteer hours and be part of a great community event. Please sign up in the office if you're interested in helping out!
Leadership: There will be a leadership meeting this Friday, May 16th, at 11:35 in Mm Chiasson’s room. Please bring your lunch.
Gauss Competition: Students who are writing the Gauss Competition, please listen carefully: for all grade 7 students writing the competition in English, go to room 172 and those grade 7 students who are writing in French, please go to Mme Choueiri’s room, 235. All grade 8 students are to go to Mme Choueiri’s room, 235. Please bring a pencil and a calculator. Good luck to all students writing this morning.
