Scents - Perfume and Body Spray
Body Spray, perfume and scents are not permitted in HRCE schools. Students are not permitted to wear scents, please respect the learning environment and the needs of others.
Halifax Transit Passes:
Halifax Transit passes were handed out this week. If you did not receive yours, stop by the office at lunch to see Mrs. Nash.
Lates:
We will be starting our weekly late detentions next week. A reminder to students that if you are late to class more than three times, during the week, you will have an office detention on Monday afternoons. Students whose parents excuse them will not have detention.
Morning Safety - Reminder to all students to use the sidewalk (not the grass side) walking down the street to the loop in the front of the school. Please do not walk through the loop as cars will be entering and exiting throughout the day. Use the sidewalk to walk past the elementary school to come to the junior high.
Library Club
Come to the Library at lunch time today to try out some bowling! If you get a strike, you win a prize!
Cell Phone Policy - Following the Provincial Cell Phone policy, students are not permitted to carry a cell phone or device on their person during instructional time. Instructional time begins at 8:20 when you enter the building. Cell phones and devices (including headphones) need to be put away and stored in your locker before you head to the first period. Students are allowed to use them during lunch.
Woodshop
Due to safety regulations, sneakers are to be worn at all times in the woodshop.
Halifax Public Library
Join us this afternoon at Cole Harbour Public Library from 3:30-4:30 for a Whine and Cheese event! It is open to students in grades 5-8, it is totally free, and there are snacks. That's a rant competition happening at CH library this afternoon from 3:30-4:30pm.
