Food & Hygiene Drive

Attention Mustangs! Let’s Make a Difference! From October 14th to October 23rd, Astral Drive is hosting a Food & Hygiene Drive to support members of our community— and we need your help!

We’re collecting non-perishable food items and hygiene products to donate to a local food bank. Look around the school for posters listing the most-needed items, and bring in what you can — every item counts! The class that donates the most items will win a special prize!

Did you know? As of March 2024, there were over 2 million visits to food banks in Canada, which was the highest number in history. Right here in Nova Scotia, 28.9% of our citizens are living in food-insecure households — the highest rate in all of Canada. This means that too many of our neighbours are going without enough nutritious meals. By donating to this drive, we’re directly helping those facing these challenges. Let’s make a real difference together and show our generosity as a school community!

Leadership

There will be a leadership meeting tomorrow, October 10th, at 11:35 in Mme Chiasson’s room. Please bring your lunch.

Drama Club

The first drama club meeting will take place today after school in the library from 2:30 to 3:30.
