Did You Know?

Congratulations to Sophia Haig who correctly named the Mi'kmaq Grand Council Flag yesterday. Did you know the white part of the flag represents the purity of creation, the red cross represents mankind and the four directions, the star represents the sun and the forces of the day, and the moon represents the forces of the night.  The grand council flag has become an important cultural symbol for Mi'kmaq people.

Girls Volleyball

The next girls volleyball practice will take place Thursday after school at 4pm until 530.

Cross Country
There will be a mandatory meeting for all cross country athletes TODAY at lunch in room 204 (Mrs. Carter’s room). Details for Thursday’s meet will be discussed. The meeting will be brief.

Library
With three weeks to go before Halloween, the annual Pumpkin Colouring Contest will begin in the Library today.  Pick up your pumpkin outlines and let your creativity loose!  Ms. Demers has samples of past winners for inspiration. 

SCHOOL DANCE
School Dance is Thursday, October 19th.  Tickets can be purchased via School Cash Online up to and including noon – October 17th.  Cost is $6.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.  Dance is from 6:30-8:30pm.
