LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. The Treaties of Peace and Friendship cover this territory .

We recognize that African Nova Scotians are a distinct people whose histories, legacies and contributions have enriched Nova Scotia for over 400 years.
Yearbook
We are still in need of 18 more baby/toddler pictures for the yearbook.  Please send them to Ms. Little at littlej@gnspes.ca as soon as possible so we can get them into the yearbook!
Yearbooks can now be purchased via the Lifetouch website for $30.

Dance
Our next school dance will be Thursday, April 18 from 6:30 - 8:30pm.  Tickets are $6 and can be purchased via SchoolCash.

Month of the Military Child
Teal Up for Month of the Military Child in April! This year, we continue to spread awareness of Month of the Military Child and Teal Up across Canada. At our MFRC sites in HRM we will be celebrating Teal Up Tuesdays and we encourage your school or community organization to join us in wearing Teal on Tuesdays throughout the month of April!

Flag Football
Flag football is cancelled for today due to the solar eclipse.

Solar Eclipse
If you have any last minute questions or concerns about today’s once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse, feel welcome to connect with Mx. Morse in room 121 at lunch time!

Badminton
There is a very important practice and meeting at lunch time for all the badminton teams. Our Junior and Intermediate teams have qualified for Regional!!

Drama Club
The drama club meeting will be cancelled today due to the solar eclipse. This meeting may be rescheduled for tomorrow or Wednesday. All cast members are to attend the club meeting this Thursday after school, as rehearsals will be taking place.

Solar eclipse glasses
If you were absent on Friday and would like to pick up your solar eclipse glasses, please see your 5th period teacher from Friday afternoon. 

Gym
The gym will be closed today at lunch due to badminton practice.
