African Heritage Month Fact of the Day
On May 16, 2023, The Halifax Declaration for the Eradication of Racial Discrimination was released. Published by the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, the Halifax Declaration for the Eradication of Racial Discrimination is the first collective record of being a Black Canadian today and the solutions needed across policy, legislation and research to achieve change. The declaration marks the United Nations’ International Decade for People of African Descent and is rooted in the themes of justice, recognition and development.

Dance

Our next ADJH dance will be tomorrow evening from 6:30 to 8:30pm.  $6.00 admission can be paid via School Cash. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Yearbook
Attention grade 9 students: It is that time of year again where we need a baby/toddler photo for the yearbook, 1-3 years of age preferably. Size of the picture must be 800 Kilobytes or bigger. Grade 9 Graduation Pictures
Grade 9 graduation picture retakes will be done the morning of Monday, March 4th. 

Cole Harbour Library
The public library is hosting “Name that Tune in Room” 106 today at lunch. As always, it is free to participate and there will be prizes! Go to Room 106 over lunch to play “Name that Tune” with the library.

901-904 Science
Term 2 Assignment Checklists for students in 901-904 are complete. If you do not have Science class today, please see Mx. Morse at lunch time or after school to pick up your checklist.

Leadership
There will be a leadership meeting this Friday, March 1st, in Mme Chiasson’s room at 11:35. Please bring your lunch.

Drama Club
The drama club will meet for improv practice today after school from 2:30 to 3:30.

Grade 9 girls and boys today after school and Thursday and Friday at lunch.

Math Competition

Grade 9 students who will be writing the Pascal Math Competition this afternoon at 12:30PM should go straight to room 124 after lunch so they can get started right away when the bell rings.
