ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Tuesday, December 12, 2023: WEEK #1

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. The Treaties of Peace and Friendship cover this territory .

We recognize that African Nova Scotians are a distinct people whose histories, legacies and contributions have enriched Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

December School Dance

Our next school dance will be this Thursday December 14th from 6:30 - 8:30.  The cost is $6.00 and can be paid through School Cash.

Library

A reminder that not only is the book sale happening in the Library, but the colouring contest is almost over.  Submissions need to be in by next Monday for voting to happen.  A big prize is given to the best picture.

Spirit week
Students and staff are encouraged to take part in our December spirit week, starting tomorrow, December 13th, with JERSEY DAY!

On Thursday, Dec. 14th, it’s Happy Holiday accessory day! Wear your festive socks, headwear and jewelry!
and on Friday, Dec. 15th, it’s Favorite Color Friday. Pick a color and wear it head to toe!

Girls Basketball
The Sackville tournament starts today after school. The first game is at 3:30pm and the second game is at 5:30pm. Any students who are getting a drive to the tournament will need to meet outside of the office at 2:30 today.

Drama Club

The X-Rounds tournament will take place this tomorrow night from 6:30 to 8:30 at Cole Harbour High. Any students who are interested in going to this event should meet in Ms. McCoombs room at the beginning of lunch today.

Cards for the Elderly
Join Ashley in creating Holiday Cards for the Elderly today at lunch in room 111 to decorate or create your own unique holiday cards. Bring your lunch, coloured pencils and/or markers. Ashley will have some colouring supplies on hand
