Santa is coming back to Astral

Santa will be coming back to Astral today for those who missed out this past Friday.  Get your picture with Santa for $2.  Mr. Lukenda has your 4x6 picture available for pick up from last Friday's pictures.

December School Dance

Our next school dance will be next Thursday, December 14th from 6:30 - 8:30.  The cost is $6.00 and can be paid through School Cash. 

Girls Basketball
A reminder that your player fee of $20 is due by Dec 11th.  This can be paid via School Cash.

Cheerleading
Cheer team fees of $30 are now due and can be paid via School Cash.

ADJH Giving Campaign
Our school’s next giving campaign has begun! As the weather gets colder, many people in our community are in need of items to keep warm. ‘’DecembRRR’’ encourages students and staff to bring in gently used winter hats, gloves and mittens, as well as new socks to help support those in need in our community. Please bring in these items to your homeroom class between December 6th and December 15th.

Leadership
The next leadership meeting will take place today at 11:35 in Mme Chiasson’s room. Please bring your lunch.

Cards for the Elderly
Join Ashley in creating Holiday Cards for the Elderly Monday December 11 at lunch to decorate or create your own unique holiday card for elderly members in local nursing homes. Ashley will be in her space. Bring your lunch, coloured pencils and/markers. Ashley will have some colouring supplies on hand.

Band
For those students who have taken part in the band pizza fundraiser, pick up dates are as follows:
Student’s last name starting with A-M, your pick-up date is Sunday, December 10th from 3:00-8:30pm.   Student’s last name starting with N-Z, your pick-up date is Wednesday, December 13th from 3:00-8:30pm.  Pick up location is Kenny’s Pizza on Cole Harbour Rd.

Lunchtime - Reminder
As the weather is getting colder, this is a reminder to all students to retrieve their coats and lunch bags from their lockers before going to the canteen, lunchroom, gym or library.  There have been many students asking to go back to their lockers for coats and other items before heading outside.  Going forward (and as we have always done), you will not be permitted back to your lockers to retrieve items you have forgotten before going outside. Please take everything you will need with you when you leave your lockers for lunch.
