LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. The Treaties of Peace and Friendship cover this territory .

Pie a Teacher to support Jessie Tree

This event will take place today at lunch in the gym.  Entry to watch the event is $0.50

Hide and Go Seek to support Jessie Tree

Tickets will be on sale today at lunch for Hide & Seek in the gym. The event will take place this Thursday at lunch. Tickets are $1.  The first 40 to purchase tickets are guaranteed a spot. Don't miss out! Get yours today!

Santa is coming back to Astal

Santa will be coming back to Astral on Friday for those who missed out this past Friday.  Get your picture with Santa for $2.  Mr. Lukenda has your 4x6 picture available for pick up from last Friday's pictures.

Chess club will be on Thursdays at lunch.  Everyone is welcome! Come learn to play or intellectually destroy others :) Chess is every THURSDAY at lunch room 111 Mr. Nagle’s room.
Girls Basketball
There will be a girls basketball practice today from 3:00-5:00pm.  A reminder that your player fee of $20 is due by Dec 11th.  This can be paid via School Cash.

Cheerleading
Cheer team fees of $30 are now due and can be paid via School Cash.
Starting today, December 6th, our school’s next giving campaign will begin. As the weather gets colder, many people in our community are in need of items to keep warm. ‘’DecembRRR’’ encourages students and staff to bring in gently used winter hats, gloves and mittens, as well as new socks to help support those in need in our community. Please bring in these items to your homeroom class between December 6th and December 15th.
Best Buddies
Best Buddies will meet at 12:30 in the learning centre for our holiday party!
Leadership
The next leadership meeting will take place this Friday, December 8th, at 11:35 in Mme Chiasson’s room. Please bring your lunch.
