Did You Know?

" Did you know that today, October 4th is the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Indigenous women are four times more likely than non-Indigenous women to be victims of violence. Indigenous women make up 16% of all female homicide victims and 11% of missing women, yet Indigenous people make up only 4.3% of the population of Canada. Please research what you can do to support and raise awareness for the MMIWG crisis. "

Cole Harbour Library
"The Pop-Up Library will be here today at lunch. It is totally free and you don't even need to already have a library card. In addition to books, movies, and graphic novels, they have free snacks and craft kits. The theme of the Pop-Up Library this month is Fall: Haunted & Cozy!"

Makers Gonna Make is an all ages makerspace program. Join us for One Little, Two Little, Three Little Ghosties on Saturday October 7th  There are so many awesome ghost crafts that we couldn’t pick just one! Join us to make three types and get your house Hallowe’en ready with garlands of ghosties!

Drama Club
The first drama club meeting will take place this Thursday after school in the library from 2:30 to 3:30.
CROSS COUNTRY
All cross country permission forms and fees are due in to Mrs. Carter by Wednesday October 4th at 4pm. Any athlete that does not submit forms and fees by then will NOT be permitted to attend the Regional Meet on October 12th.

Boys Soccer
Reminder that your participant’s fee for soccer is due on October 10th.  This can be paid through school cash.
As well, this is a reminder of the game today at 3:45 on the Montebello field. Be there no later than 3:15.

Terry Fox Walk

Tomorrow, we will be participating in our annual Terry Fox Walk. Please do your best to help fundraise to reach our school goal of $1000 in support of cancer research. All donations must be made online. Thank you for your support.

Leadership
