IWK – SPIRIT WEEK

The IWK Health Centre is a very special and important place in our community. It provides services and care to children, youth, and women.

On June 3rd and 4th, the IWK will be holding its annual telethon and Astral Drive would like to support this worthy cause. During this week's spirit week, there will be activities in the gym each day starting at noon. It will cost $2 to participate and all funds raised will go to support the IWK.

TODAY:  Friday is Pride Day; thank you to everyone who is wearing all colors of the rainbow.

GIRLS’ SOFTBALL TEAM

The girls’ softball team will practice next Monday and Wednesday 2:45-4:00pm.

DRAMA CLUB

The Astral Drive drama group will be performing a second play today in the gym starting at 12 o'clock for the cost of $2 called "Best Served Cold: A Tale of Revenge". Come and enjoy another fantastic performance while supporting the IWK.

Also, there is a bake sale today at lunch.

Next week, we will be collecting money to help support those affected by the recent forest fires. Please bring your change!

GRADE 9 HARBOUR CRUISE

Grade 9 students who want to attend the Boat Cruise June 19th, please pay for your TICKET via SchoolCash Online.  Cost is $42.  Payment can made up to midnight  today (Friday - June 2, 2023).

TEEN NIGHTS’ COLE HARBOUR LIBRARY from 6:00-7:30pm (grades 7 & up)

Since June is often a very stressful time for Teens, the theme of this month is Regress and DeStress. Teen Night is always on Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm at Cole Harbour Public Library and we'll have snacks every week.

June 13: Cartoon Quiz
June 20: Craft like a Kid
June 27: Candy Gambling

Sundays, at the Cole Harbour Library, from 2:00-4:30pm - TABLETOP TEEN DROP-IN: On Sunday afternoons, the Program Room becomes a teen gaming hub where you can meet other players and start new games.  Join a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, test your best Magic: The Gathering deck, or play any board game from their huge collection.  Please bring your own decks, dice, rule books, etc.  Curious about these games, but don’t know where to start?  It’s perfect for you too!  Just drop in and try it out.  Text Ali @ (782) 641-6385 with questions or to get a reminder text!

GUIDANCE NEWS

Every Thursday at lunch come over to the guidance room to relax at the Don’t You Worry Club! All students are welcome! This club is for students with a lot of stress and anxiety and/or students who would like to learn more about such things. Come and share strategies with others, so that everyone can benefit! It is a worry-free place to be!
