IWK – SPIRIT WEEK

The IWK Health Centre is a very special and important place in our community. It provides services and care to children, youth, and women.

On June 3rd and 4th, the IWK will be holding its annual telethon and Astral Drive would like to support this worthy cause. During this week's spirit week, there will be activities in the gym each day starting at noon. It will cost $2 to participate and all funds raised will go to support the IWK.

TODAY:  Thursday - PJ Day.
Friday will be Pride Day where you are encouraged to wear all colors of the rainbow.

GIRLS’ SOFTBALL TEAM

The girls’ softball team scheduled practice for today after school has been cancelled due to the heat warning!

Girls will practice next week Monday and Wednesday from 2:45-4:00pm.

SCHOOL DANCE - CANCELLED

The school dance SCHEDULED FOR this evening - Thursday, June 1st has been CANCELLED.  Refunds have been issued to parents/guardians who purchased a ticket (refunds take 3-5 business days).

BOYS’ SOFTBALL

All members of the boys’ softball team are asked to meet quickly in Ms. Banfield's room, room 206 at lunch today.

DRAMA CLUB

Hey Mustangs! Drama Club is performing the student play, "What a Drag," at 12:00 today! Bring a toonie as it will  be the lunch of your life! Don't be late, 12:00 noon today!

PROVINCIALS – TRACK & FIELD

Provincials scheduled for today and Friday have been postponed.  No new date has been decided yet.

GRADE 9 HARBOUR CRUISE

Grade 9 students who want to attend the Boat Cruise June 19th, please pay for your TICKET via SchoolCash Online.  Cost is $42.  Payment can made up to and including this Friday - June 2, 2023.

TEEN NIGHTS’ COLE HARBOUR LIBRARY from 6:00-7:30pm (grades 7 & up)

Since June is often a very stressful time for Teens, the theme of this month is Regress and DeStress. Teen Night is always on Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm at Cole Harbour Public Library and we'll have snacks every week.

June 13: Cartoon Quiz
June 20: Craft like a Kid
June 27: Candy Gambling

Sundays, at the Cole Harbour Library, from 2:00-4:30pm - TABLETOP TEEN DROP-IN: On Sunday afternoons, the Program Room becomes a teen gaming hub where you can meet other players and start new games.  Join a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, test your best Magic: The Gathering deck, or play any board game from their huge collection.  Please bring your own decks, dice, rule books, etc.  Curious about these games, but don’t know where to start?  It’s perfect for you too!  Just drop in and try it out.  Text Ali @ (782) 641-6385 with questions or to get a reminder text!

Only students who have signed up for movie club can come to movie club? If you want to sign up, you have to let Ms. McNeil know beforehand.

CHESS CLUB

The Chess Club will take place every Thursday at lunch in Mr. Nagle’s room 111. If you know how to play or want to learn how to play, feel free to come check it out tomorrow. 

GUIDANCE NEWS

Every Thursday at lunch come over to the guidance room to relax at the Don’t You Worry Club! All students are welcome! This club is for students with a lot of stress and anxiety and/or students who would like to learn more about such things. Come and share strategies with others, so that everyone can benefit! It is a worry-free place to be!
