LISA VAUGHAN, PRINCIPAL – CHAMPION – FRED LYNCH MEMORIAL CANOE RACE
Our Principal; Lisa Vaughan participated in the Fred Lynch Memorial Canoe Race this past weekend and came in first place along with her C2 partner.  The Fred Lynch Memorial Canoe Race began in 1985 as a way to recognize the tremendous effort ‘Freddie' put into teaching paddling in Dartmouth.  The race Ms. Vaughan and her partner won was raced in a Marathon C2 pro boat.  She and her partner raced a 16km course from Lake Banook to Lake Charles and back.  On behalf of staff and students, I would like to say ‘CONGRATULATIONS” to Ms. Vaughan! 

GIRLS’ SOCCER
There is a very important meeting today at lunch for the girls’ soccer team.

BEST BUDDIES PROGRAM

The list of Students accepted into the Best Buddies program is posted on the bulletin board outside of the learning centre.

GSA
Astral Drive Junior High is starting up our GSA again. GSA stands for Gender Sexuality Alliance. GSA’s are student-led clubs in schools that support LGBTQ youth and their allies. GSA’s help make schools safer by providing a space free of judgment and assumptions. If you are interested, in joining, please join us in Ms. Campbell's room, room 221, Wednesday October 6th at lunch.

BOYS’ SOCCER
Members of the boys’ soccer team are asked to please see Ms. Little to verify your proof of vaccination before the end of the school day today. If for some reason you cannot play, please see Ms. Little as soon as possible. Thank you!
