SCHOOL DANCE
The first school dance of the year will take place Thursday, November 8th from 6:00-8:00pm.  Cost is $5.  If you would like to invite a guest, please pick up a dance guest permission form at the office.  Your guest must be a student in grade 7, 8 or 9 and in good standing at his/her school.  Please return your dance guest permission form to Mrs. Eaglestone BY THE END OF THE DAY - Monday, November 5th!

REMEMBRANCE DAY
There will be an assembly in the gym starting at 10:45am.  ADJH would like to thank all veterans and members of the Armed Forces, both active and retired, for the incredible sacrifices you have made on behalf of all Canadians!  Remember, when you see a veteran to say, “thank you!”

WE DAY
There will be a meeting today at lunch for the students attending WE Day in Ottawa in Ms. MacDonald's room. If you have not already passed in your permission slip, please bring it with you.

LIFETOUCH
Retake proofs have arrived!  If you would like to place an order, please give the order form to Mrs. Eaglestone by the end of the day today – Friday, November 2nd or you can order online.


COLDER WEATHER
The weather this time of year is unpredictable.  We have days that look like they are going to be warm, but turn out to be cool or damp.  We encourage students to be prepared for the colder weather because they will be outside unless the temperature drops well below freezing!  When you take your lunch out of your locker, please take your jacket at that time as well! 

GUIDANCE NEWS

The Guidance outer-office is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays at lunch.  20 people maximum.  Please bring your lunch as it is first come, first serve!
• Tuesdays - Wii day where we will play games on the Wii.
• Wednesdays - Board Game day
• Thursdays are Movie day

1)  Boys to Men meet Mondays at 1:30pm in room 172.  Members are reminded to leave all backpacks, head phones etc. in their locker.
2)  Our Girl's group meets today - Friday at lunch in Guidance!  Treats will be provided!!

GARBAGE
Students are reminded to put their garbage in the garbage containers out and around the school grounds!  Please do not drop it on the ground!  Thank you!

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL TEAM - BAKE SALE
The boys’ volleyball team will be having a bake sale today at lunch. 

CELL PHONES/HEADPHONES/EARBUDS
Reminder to students that cellphones/headphones and/or earbuds are not to be used during the school day except at break and lunch times.  If a staff member sees these items being used at inappropriate times, they will be taken and sent to the office.

LOST & FOUND
Students are asked to please check the Lost & Found (items in two containers by the main doors on the Astral side of the building).  Please take any items that belong to you!

AFTER SCHOOL BUS DUTY

Reminder – Courtesy Bus is only available to those students whose parents registered with Stock Transportation over the summer.  The bus driver will have a list of students who are permitted to take the bus (if registered).
