GUIDANCE NEWS
The Guidance outer-office is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays at lunch.  20 people maximum.  Please bring your lunch as it is first come, first serve!
• Tuesdays - Wii day where we will play games on the Wii.
• Wednesdays - Board Game day
• Thursdays are Movie day

FREE THE CHILDREN
• There won't be a Free the Children meeting this week but next Tuesday will be a meeting with a representative from Adsum House - our local charity.  See you there!

ANNUAL POETRY CONTEST
Thank you to all entrants of the Annual Poetry Contest!
13 selections were voted on by students and the top five were presented to the staff for the final choice. 
It was a close battle, and Ms. Demers has decided to give prizes to two runners up.  They are Samantha Lozon, 901 and Angelina McCaughan, 801.

In the end, the winner of the 2018 Poetry Contest is.......Anna Mugford from 801 for her poem that spoke of a ghost on a harbour. 

Well done to our ADJH poets!

TRACK & FIELD
• There will be a Track & Field try-out tomorrow – Wednesday – May 2nd at 3:15pm – Beazley Field for the following events:  800m, 1500m, long jump, triple jump and hurdles!

• Junior Girls High jump tryouts will be today at lunch in the gym.  Junior Boys high jump tryouts will be tomorrow at lunch.

• 2. Tryouts for all throwing events (shot put, javelin and discus) will be today afterschool - CANCELLED DUE TO FIELD CONDITIONS!!!!!!!

GIRLS’ SOFTBALL
There will be a girls’ softball tryout next Tuesday May 8th at 3:30 pm. The tryout could be inside or outside, weather depending, so please bring appropriate attire and footwear. Any questions, please see Mrs. Banfield.

OUR CANADA PROJECT
There will be an Our Canada Project meeting today at the lunch bell in Mlle. MacDonald's room.
