ANNOUNCEMENTS: Friday April 24th, 2026: WEEK #1 Day E

We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded 

territory of the Mi’kmaw people. 

We would also like to acknowledge people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Upcoming Dates/Reminders: 

April 29th - PD Day, no school

Grade 8 Assessments begin in May 21st - Will be ongoing for the week

Girls Softball

1st tryout will be today in the gym from 2:30-4:15pm.

Boys Softball

For boys who are interested in playing softball for ADJH, there is a sign up sheet posted outside the gym. First tryout will be April 30th.

ADJH Canteen

The ADJH canteen will be open today at 11:45am.  Stop by and buy yourself a treat!

Flag Football

If you are a member of the ADJH flag football team, your $20 team fee is now due via School Cash.  Your tournament fee must be paid and your athletic policy, for all teams, must be handed in order to play.

There will be a boys flag football meeting today at lunch for all Grade 9s on the team. 

There will also be a boys flag practice today after school at 4:15PM. 

Both teams will practice after school Monday. The girls will practice from 2:30-4:15 and the boys will practice from 4:15-6PM. 

Track and Field

Sign up sheets for Track and Field Tryouts are now posted on the bulletin board outside of the gymnasium. A tentative tryout schedule has also been posted with expected dates and times for tryouts. Please ensure you sign up for the correct events and take note of when the tryouts will be to ensure you are able to attend.

Leadership

There will be a leadership meeting today at 11:35 in Mme Chiasson’s room. Please bring your lunch.

Cooking Club  

There will be a cooking club starting Monday April 27th after school in Mr. Ouellette’s room from 2:40-3:45pm. The first 24 students to get their permission forms will be accepted. Forms can be picked up in the office. Check out the posters around the building for more information. 

Library Club

Today is the final day to get your poem into Ms. Demers!  Create your written poem, or make one at the activity centres in the Library.  You may enter more than one poem to increase your chances of winning the prize!  Voting will begin next week.
