LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. The Treaties of Peace and Friendship cover this territory .

FLAG FOOTBALL:

There will be a meeting for all BOYS AND GIRLS flag football team members TODAY at the start of lunch in the gym. Players from both teams are asked to ensure they attend.

Yearbook
We are still in need of 19 more baby/toddler pictures for the yearbook.  Please send them to Ms. Little at littlej@gnspes.ca as soon as possible so we can get them into the yearbook!

Grade 9 End of year celebration
If you are looking for a dress - Cole Harbour District High School is hosting a prom/semi sale on Saturday, April 6th from 12:30-4:00 PM.

Parent-Teacher Meetings
Parent - Teacher meetings will be held this Wednesday evening from 6-8pm and Thursday afternoon from 1-3 pm.  Parents can sign up using the link that was sent out in an email last week.

Month of the Military Child
Teal Up for Month of the Military Child in April! This year, we continue to spread awareness of Month of the Military Child and Teal Up across Canada. At our MFRC sites in HRM we will be celebrating Teal Up Tuesdays and we encourage your school or community organization to join us in wearing Teal on Tuesdays throughout the month of April!
Library Club

April is also Poetry Month!  Ms. Demers is holding her annual poetry contest with winners awarded prizes at the end of the month!  Get your poem in before April 25.

Dance

Our next school dance will be Thursday, April 18 from 6:30 - 8:30pm.  Tickets are $6 and can be purchased via School Cash.

Cole Harbour Library
The public library is hosting Cartoon Trivia in Room 106 today at lunch. As always, it is free to participate and there will be prizes! Go to Room 106 over lunch to do Cartoon Trivia with the library.

Leadership
There will be a leadership meeting this Friday, April 5th, at 11:35 in Mme Chiasson’s room. Please bring your lunch.
