LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

Library

Ms. Demers keeps finding some amazing books for sale in the Library!  Each book is only 10 cents unless otherwise marked (some series are only 25 cents!).  There are also smaller books at 5 for 25, and some sheet music to celebrate the holidays!  Plus, lots of great gift items for friends and family of all ages.  (She also won’t take offense to using the pages of books as unique wrapping for gifts - she’ll probably do it herself.)

Spirit week
Students and staff are encouraged to take part in our December spirit week.

Today is Happy Holiday accessory day! Thank you to everyone who is wearing festive socks, headwear and jewelry!
Tomorrow is Favorite Color Friday. Pick a color and wear it head to toe!
Monday Dec. 18th is MUSTANG MONDAY. Wear black, white & burgundy!
ADJH Giving Campaign
Please remember to bring in gently used winter hats, gloves and mittens, as well as new socks for our DecembRRR giving campaign. The last day to bring in these items to your homeroom class is tomorrow, Friday December 15th.

LEADERSHIP
Leadership group is asked to go to Mme Arseneau’s room (room 211) for a brief meeting tomorrow (Friday) at lunch.


Cole Harbour Library
Makers Gonna Make: Holiday Gift Extravaganza will take place at the Cole Harbour Library on Saturday, December 16th 2:30-4:00pm  Use your artistic skills and our supplies to make something for everyone on your gift list. 
Boys basketball
The boys basketball team won their pool in the Sackville tournament, which means they get to move on to the semi-finals today! That game starts at 3:30 at Sackville High. Those boys playing in the tournament will be dismissed at 2pm to leave for the game.

Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team fought hard in the Sackville tournament with 2 wins and 2 losses. Special shout out to the grade 8s and 9s for supporting the new members of the team, and our players of the game: Brooklyn Hatfield, Jillian MacLeod, Kathryn Hashem, and Kaelynn Auby. The team will have their next practice on Monday from 4:30 to 6:00.

Drama Club

The drama club’s improv team had a fantastic performance at the Canadian Improv Games’ X-Rounds tournament last night. The drama club meeting for today is cancelled.
Afternoon Reminders
@ 2pm - Boys basketball team is to be dismissed to leave for their tournament at Sackville High.  Good luck!!
