• The poetry contest will be closing in one week's time!  A few students have entered and can submit more than one poem.  If you feel you have some writing skills and want to win a prize, create your poem and submit it to Ms. Demers by Thursday, April 26.  All poems will be judged, without your name, by students and staff.  Good luck to all entrants!

FREE THE CHILDREN

1. Congratulations ADJH! In your homerooms you raised $586 for We Walk for Water which is enough money to provide 23 people with access to clean water in their own village.  Your contribution means that there are 23 girls and women who will now have options they didn't have previously, whether that is to get an education or to participate in income-earning activities.  You should all be very proud of yourselves.  The homeroom that collected the most money was 805 with a total of $150 which is an average of $7/student.

2. A final reminder to all Free the Children members that your pledge money and forms are due to Ms. McKenzie or Ms. MacDonald no later than tomorrow in order to be able to participate in the walk on Thursday.  You can bring it to them in the morning or at the meeting tomorrow at lunch.

PEERS
PEERS members are asked to go to the Learning Center on Tuesdays at 9:35am.  PEERS members are reminded to bring their personal item with them today!
