LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

Healthy Living Initiative - students can sign out Decathlon sports equipment from Mme Pushie at the beginning of lunch in the gym.  **This equipment is not Phys Ed equipment but equipment bought for lunch time use. Equipment will be borrowed from Mme Pushies class at the beginning of lunch.

School Supplies Drive
Do you keep forgetting school supplies or keep running out? We do, too. That is why the class of 906 is running a school supply drive! On Friday, May 17th a box will be placed in your homeroom for new supplies such as, looseleaf, pencils, erasers, etc. and the class with the most amount of supplies by May 24th will win a free gym class!

Best Buddies
Best Buddies will meet Thursday at lunch in the learning centre!

Boys Softball
There will be boy’s softball tryouts today from 4:15-5:30. Any player wanting to be on the team must come to these tryouts.

IWK Fundraiser
For several years now, the Astral Drive Junior High community has been very generous in donating to the IWK Health Centre through many fundraisers. The IWK is an important place in our province that provides care and support to countless women, children, youth and families. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the IWK Telethon and as a school, our goal is to raise $2000. Tomorrow, May 24th, the leadership team will be hosting a barbecue at lunchtime and all the proceeds will be donated to the IWK. Hotdogs, drinks and jumbo freezies will be for sale. Check out the posters on the first floor for details.

School Dance
Our last school dance of the year will be held on June 6th, 6:30-8:30pm.  This dance will be for grades 7, 8 and our grade 6 friends who will be joining ADJH in September.  Dance fee of $6.00 and can be paid via School Cash.

Drama Club
The drama club will meet today for rehearsals from 2:30 to 3:30 in the library.

Grade 9 Reminder
Please bring in your permission slips for next week’s orientation at Auburn Drive High.
