DAY OF SILENCE

The Day of Silence is a student-led demonstration where LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the world take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools.

Rainbow ribbons will be sold, tomorrow, Thursday afternoon for $1; they can be purchased in your homeroom (cohort). The proceeds are to support the "Rainbow Railroad" which makes arrangements for LGBTQ+ folks around the world to escape persecution and violence and come to Canada or other safer countries. Staying silent this Friday morning, April 23rd, is not mandatory but you can still wear a ribbon in support of those who are.

ADJH HOODIES

Grade 9 students are welcome to go online to fill out the order form for their hoodies. Please join Ms. Little's Google Classroom code d2glsnp. Deadline to order and submit payment is Friday, April 30th.

LIBRARY
With just over a week to go for the Library's Spring Colouring Contest, students are encouraged to finish up their pieces or grab a new one!  Come to the Library to see what is left for selection.

MASKS-SANITIZER-SOCIAL DISTANCING – REMINDERS

Just a reminder to students to please remember to wear your school-provided mask or your own mask every day and to make sure your mask covers your nose!  Also, (1) when you enter the building to sanitize your hands (2) walking through the halls in single file/social distance where possible, (3) bring your water bottle to school and (4) before you are dismissed for lunch, please remove all items off your desk so they can be cleaned during the lunch break.
