SCHOOL DANCE
Our next school dance is Thursday, March 28th from 6:00-8:00pm.  If you would like to invite a guest, please stop by the office for a “Dance Guest Permission” form.  You guest must be in grade 7-9.  There is not charge for our students to attend the dance.  If you invite a guest, the guest has to pay $5.  Please return your “Dance Guest Permission” form to Mrs. Eaglestone by Monday, March 25th.

WINTER CARNIVAL
Today is the start of Winter Carnival week at ADJH!

Today - Monday March 11th is Meme Monday, so BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE who came dressed as your favourite meme. Leadership students will be visiting each class after announcements. Homerooms are asked to nominate their best meme costume and there will be a vote at lunch for the winner! The best meme of the school will get a prize!

Tuesday March 12th is Tropical Tuesday so wear your tropical gear. At lunch on Tuesday there's a limbo contest in the gym so there will be no intramurals. It will be 25 cents to get in the gym for the contest, and no non-participating spectators will be permitted.

Wednesday March 13th is Wacky Wednesday so everyone wear their mismatched clothes and crazy hair.

Thursday March 14th is Throwback Thursday so dress up in clothing from a past decade, such as the 80s. The class with the most students dressed up will win a prize!

Finally, Friday is Shamrockin’ Friday so everyone wear green! At lunch on Friday there will be a shamrock search. For every 3 shamrocks you trade in, you get a treat! There will also be one main "pot of gold" prize. Good luck!

PHYS ED NEWS
1. All members of the boys and girls basketball teams are asked to return their uniforms to Mr. Carew as soon as possible.

2. Freezies will no longer be permitted in the gym at lunchtime. If you purchase one, please finish it before entering the gym.

GRADE 9 GRAD PHOTOS – PROOFS
Grade 9 Grad proofs have arrived.  They will be distributed by your homeroom teacher.  If you would like to place an order, please give the order form to Mrs. Eaglestone by Monday, March 25th!  Lifetouch photographer will be here Wednesday, March 27th to take grade nine grad retakes.

YEARBOOK
If you did not pay for a yearbook when you paid your student fees in September, you can still order a yearbook.  Order forms are in the office.  The cost is $35.  The deadline to order is May 6, 2019.  Please return your order form to Mrs. Eaglestone, office.  You can also order online at:  ybpay.lifetouch.ca  (the code to order online can be found on the form)

GUIDANCE NEWS
The Guidance outer-office is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays at lunch.  20 people maximum.  Please bring your lunch as it is first come, first serve!
• Tuesdays - Wii day where we will play games on the Wii.
• Wednesdays - Board Game day
• Thursdays are Movie day

1) All grade nine students are asked to return the course confirmation forms by THIS Wednesday, the 13th of March.  Please return these to your homeroom teacher.

2)  Girl's group cake decorating to take place April 15th.
