AFRICAN HERITAGE MONTH  - FEBRUARY 2019
OUR HISTORY is YOUR HISTORY
Our History is YOUR History recognizes the unique history of African Nova Scotians and how it is interwoven with the past, present and future of all Nova Scotians.  Our theme also aligns with the United Nations’ International Decade for People of African Descent (DPAD).  The goal of DPAD is to strengthen global cooperation in support of people of African descent as they strive for full inclusion in all aspects of society.

DEBATE CLUB
Meeting this Friday, lunch time, Ms. Neaves room #109.

WRESTLING
Wrestlers who are participating this weekend (tournament), it is mandatory to be at practice today!

FREE THE CHILDREN
There will be no Free the Children meeting today. We will meet next Thursday to discuss our Spring campaign.

GREEN TEAM
Green Team will meet Friday afternoon during the last period of the day to collect paper and recycles. Meet in Ms. Patterson's classroom.

SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIP
Money will be collected today at lunch in Ms. Little's Lab for the next ski trip to Martock on March 6th. We need 20 more students to fill the bus.

LOLLIPOPS
Lollipops for sale, at lunch, tomorrow - Friday.  Cost $1 each!  Lots of flavors available!

YEARBOOK
If you did not pay for a yearbook when you paid your student fees in September, you can still order a yearbook.  Order forms are in the office.  The cost is $35.  The deadline to order is May 6, 2019.  Please return your order form to Mrs. Eaglestone, office.  You can also order online at:  ybpay.lifetouch.ca  (the code to order online can be found on the form)

GUIDANCE NEWS
The Guidance outer-office is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays at lunch.  20 people maximum.  Please bring your lunch as it is first come, first serve!
• Tuesdays - Wii day where we will play games on the Wii.
• Wednesdays - Board Game day
• Thursdays are Movie day

1.  March 6th is the deadline for all O2 application forms.   This includes the form and the two references.

AFTER SCHOOL BUS DUTY

Reminder – Courtesy Bus is only available to those students whose parents registered with Stock Transportation over the summer.  The bus driver will have a list of students who are permitted to take the bus (if registered).
