SCHOOL DANCE
The first school dance of the year will take place this Thursday, November 8th from 6:00-8:00pm.  Cost is $5.  Please return your dance guest permission form to Mrs. Eaglestone today!

REMEMBRANCE DAY
This Friday, November 9th there will be a Remembrance Day assembly in the gym starting at 10:45am.  Break will take place from 10:25-10:35am this Friday - only.  ADJH would like to thank all veterans and members of the Armed Forces, both active and retired, for the incredible sacrifices they have made on behalf of all Canadians!  Remember, when you see a veteran to say, “thank you!”

COLDER WEATHER
The weather this time of year is unpredictable.  We have days that look like they are going to be warm, but turn out to be cool or damp.  We encourage students to be prepared for the colder weather because they will be outside unless the temperature drops well below freezing!  When you take your lunch out of your locker, please take your jacket at that time as well! 

GUIDANCE NEWS

The Guidance outer-office is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays at lunch.  20 people maximum.  Please bring your lunch as it is first come, first serve!
• Tuesdays - Wii day where we will play games on the Wii.
• Wednesdays - Board Game day
• Thursdays are Movie day

1)  Boys to Men meet Mondays at 1:30pm in room 172.  Members are reminded to leave all backpacks, head phones etc. in their locker.
2)  Our Girl's group meets Fridays at lunch in Guidance! 

GARBAGE
Students are reminded to put their garbage in the garbage containers out and around the school grounds!  Please do not drop it on the ground!  Thank you!

BOYS’ SOCCER
Members of the boys’ soccer team are reminded to return your soccer jersey to Ms. Little, ASAP.

CELL PHONES/HEADPHONES/EARBUDS
Reminder to students that cellphones/headphones and/or earbuds are not to be used during the school day except at break and lunch times.  If a staff member sees these items being used at inappropriate times, they will be taken and sent to the office.

LOST & FOUND
Students are asked to please check the Lost & Found (items in two containers by the main doors on the Astral side of the building).  Please take any items that belong to you!  Any items not taken will be donated at the end of the month.

GIRLS’ ONLY RECREATIONAL SPORTS
All grades (girls) invited tomorrow - Wednesday, November 7th to play basketball during girl's only recreational sports which takes place from 2:45 to 3:45. Bring spare clothes and no spectators allowed!

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Congratulations to the boys’ volleyball team on winning in straight sets against GBJH yesterday.   Special acknowledgements to Evan Conrod, Jake Warwick and Brandon Lacroix.  The team has another home game today at 3:30pm against Sir Robert Borden.

Reminder – Courtesy Bus is only available to those students whose parents registered with Stock Transportation over the summer.  The bus driver will have a list of students who are permitted to take the bus (if registered).
